Orange will secure its Android phone with Lookout


Lookout is definitely the benchmark of mobile security on Android. Yet very popular overseas, this application does not as well known ...

For those not familiar with this application, but it has many valuable functions to secure its smartphone: the detection and removal of viruses in attachments or applications, the location of the device even if it is completely extinguished or the ability to save your contacts, etc..

This solution is available for free on Android and iOS but it will be against by a subscription to Premium 2.99 dollars per month for full protection on Android.

On the occasion of the conference LeWeb'12, which runs from 4 to 6 December in Paris, Orange has announced a partnership with Lookout to integrate application security in its Android smartphones next year in France, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom. The operator take this opportunity to invest in the company through venture capital funds Orange & Publicis.

For the record: the founder and CEO of Lookout, John Hering, managed seven years ago to hack a Bluetooth network at a distance of a mile and a half scan phones of celebrities on the red carpet Oscars. Today, he is the head of a company that is already more than a billion dollars.
